And then this happens.....

So I say a post is coming and I get pictures downloaded and then BAM!!!! I am hit HARD by the wonderful flu.

Sunday I am going through Lexi's room on my day off cleaning out the closet since it is my only day to really do anything and I get 5 garbage bags of garbage out of her closet and I start to feel a sore throat coming on. I decide to take a break and head to Walmart to get a video from the redbox since we had a free rental. As me and Lexi were walking around my body started aching more and more and my throat started hurting more and more. I picked up some cold and flu meds along with some motrin and then got the other stuff we needed and headed home. By the time I got home I was so cold and my body ached so bad I just wanted to go to bed. As the night wore on I got achier and achier and more fevered and chilled. I was miserable. I called in to work the next day and Josh took Kayden to the doc since he was fevered also to see what was wrong with him if anything. The doc sent Kayden home saying that other than the fever he looks good if he starts to get worse then bring him in. That night I decided to go to the doctor. I was still miserable! They did a rapid flu test and it came back negative but the doctor prescribed me Tamiflu anyways since I was so miserable and told me what things to watch for to go to the hospital....coughing up a lot of junk, diahrea (which I did not have) vomiting (which I only did once since I HATE throwing up) and difficulty breathing. (By the way that stuff is expensive even with insurance and the pharmacy was telling me that some insurances aren't paying for it i.e. Medicaid! thank heavens we have Blue Cross). I called in to work on Tuesday also since I was still feeling horrible and I woke up drenched from sweating.

So here we are on Thursday.... my body doesn't ache as bad any more and my fever is gone, my throat hurts REALLY bad and I have tonsils the size of golf balls and my neck is sore. I had a really bad headache this morning but motrin cleared it up, I have to concentrate really hard to swallow because it hurts so bad. I have a cough that isn't helping the sore throat situation. I still feel really weak and my ears hurt so bad it isn't even funny and I am blowing my nose all the time. Other than that I am peachy.

Lexi was the biggest help while I was sick. She kept checking on me and she took care of Koy and she made sure that I had everything that I needed. She would even sit there and rub my head while she watched the movie and I slept. Koy was even helpful. I was laying on the floor because I was sick of laying in the bed and my body just ached and it felt good to lay there. Koy come running in to me and says "You o.k. mom?" "Do you need a Mountain Dew?" He would also come and bring me wet wash cloths.

But my immune compromised child is hanging in there like a champ and is doing great!

I really need to clean my house, but I think I will go and take a small nap. I am drained.
