Last and Final Stocking for us!

This year we received our last and final stocking for the kids. My mom started making each grand child a cross stitched stocking for Christmas. Lexi was the the first and we have gone through all of the kids and Koy just received his.

When I was little we would put our stockings out on Christmas night for Santa. These stockings are too pretty to just put out one night of the year so I display them all season long. A few years ago I found some really cute rod iron stocking holders at Roberts Craft. I bought one of each a Santa, snowman and reindeer. At the time there was only me, Josh and Lexi. I am glad that we aren't having any more kids or else I wouldn't know where to find another stocking holder that would match!

Here is a look at each stocking. I wasn't able to get Lexi's picture with her stocking so we will try for another time.

Wow. Those are great looking stockings, if I do say so myself. I am going to "borrow" the pictures and put them all on a blog for my own bragging rights. Maybe all the other parents will take similar pictures so I can include all of them....hint...hint.... I wanted something special for each grandchild, something from Grandma just for them. Every stitch is filled with love, "cross" my heart, I promise! Now on to other projects.

Just checked in my picture files. The only one I don't have a picture of is Tyler's stocking. I guess Nancy will need to take a picture for me.

Where did you get the cute background?

How special!! Your mom is talented! I want to try a tradition like that with my kids. Bry and I made our stocking each year before we had kids... I think we need to do it again now that we have kids!

I couldn't see the entire address on my screen. Maybe I need a bigger monitor. And thanks, everyone, for the compliments on the stockings. Mel, each one took a year to complete. That's why I waited for grandchildren. While I was "Mom" I never had time.
