It has been a long time since I wrote anything. I don't have time for anything but reading and studying and more reading and studying. This week is Spring Break for Josh and I but it isn't really a break since I still have to work 40 hours this week.
Here is an update on all of us.
Koy has just been hanging out and doing his thing. He loves playing the playstation and the computer and anything else that will occupy his time. He gets bored easily but now that the weather is getting better he will be able to get rid of his energy by playing outside.
Kayden has been on a month of antibiotics for strep, an ear infection and other crap in his ear. I took him to the ENT yesterday and there is still fluid behind his ear but it is not infected yet. He is scheduled to have tubes put back in his ear next wednesday to see if this will stop fluid from building up in his ear and so we won't have to take other measures on his mastoid bone. His ANC levels were really low so the nephrologists are watching things to see if it improves. He is also scheduled to meet with the Urologists next month for a VCUG and to meet with the docs. We need to see what is going on with his antibiotic. I don't really like him being on an antibiotic for a long period of time and we need to see if his urinary reflux is getting any better or not. The positive thing in all of this is that he will continue to get medicaid, which helps a lot.
Lexi has been doing the same as Koy, hanging out and very anxious for the warmer weather.
Lexi and Kayden had a fundraiser at school and they sold enough stuff to be able to go for a ride in a limo and go to lunch. They are really excited.
I have been going to school, doing homework, and working. I am taking 11 credits which is just 1 credit short of full time. I think of it still as going full time because it is a lot of studying and time that I have to put into things. On my days off I usually spend all day working on school work and also my time between school and work is spent studying also. Don't forget the cooking, cleaning and laundry is done by me also. Six hours of sleep at night sometimes just doesn't cut it. It has been very stressful this quarter and what I wouldn't do for a quick getaway somewhere, anywhere I am not very picky. But, I know that isn't going to happen. (But boy how I REALLY wish that would happen) I feel bad when I drop Kayden off at school and he tell me "Bye mom, I will see you tomorrow." I don't get to spend enough time with my kids as I would like but someday it will all be worth it. (If I can pass biology!) Summer quarter I am going to take only 2 classes and hopefully I can get them both online because I really need a break.

I agree with you Tammy - you need a break and it sounds like you deserve it.
I admire you for all your hard work and your attitude through it all. Keep it going.
Also - as long as your kids know you love them - it makes a huge difference. One that stays with them and still makes a difference when they are adults.
I am with you on the break. What I wouldn't do for a quick getaway somewhere. To bad we can't tap into some extra funds somewhere. Maybe we can go to the beach or something :(
Or you can all come to Emery County for a weekend. Easter is coming up and we all need the time to just run around or fly kites. Just hang out together and let the kid go. I agree with Julie, you are doing a great job of perservering. You are working today a day when you will be able to spend more time with your kids and provide for them the way you want. You are setting a good example for them. They are young enough are resilient. They still love you.
