This summer has been really busy. With school and other activities that have been going on I have not been able to post anything at all.
The kids got out of school the first part of June and they have been busy playing and enjoying their summer. Last spring I purchased some passes for us to be able to go to Seven Peaks Salt Lake during the summer and we have had a blast. We went every Wednesday. At first the boys weren't so sure about things, but as the summer went on they got braver and stronger and by the end of the summer they were both able to swim pretty far. Lexi has always been a good little swimmer and she went on a few rides that she didn't dare go on at first. All the kids loved the wave pool and they had a blast. The last few weeks they have loved the slides that go down into the three feet and the four feet water. I LOVE that my kids are out of the stage where I have to hold them and take them down the slides on my lap. I don't even have to stand at the bottom of the slide and help them since they each are able to touch the ground and swim. I am there to observe and make sure that things are o.k. They are awesome kids.
Tuesday I got a phone call from a little boy. He called me up and asked if I could bring the kids to his house and they could all go bowling. I told that little boy that I would bring the kids down and he was SO happy. Tyler could not wait to have the kids come and go bowling with him. When we got to his house he wanted to ride with the boys and got in the car with me to go bowling. We had so much fun bowling with him and I love that my kids love spending time with Tyler. They love spending time with him and are really good to help him with whatever he needs.
School starts on Monday for the kids. Lexi is really excited and can't wait until Friday when the school lists are up to see if she has Mrs. Guy as her teacher. Kayden is excited that he gets to go to school on the first day of school and not have to wait this year. Josh and I start on Wednesday. I am only taking 8 credits this semester. I am wanting to take it a little easier and be able to focus on my Human Anatomy class and pass it with a B. I passed my Biology class with a C+ which is what is needed to apply for nursing school. I am wanting to do better this next semester on my Human Anatomy class. I am also cutting back a couple hours at work so that I can spend that time on other things. This way I can add more hours at work if I need to or I can use those hours to be at home and study and be with the kids. I am really excited about getting back to a routine. We are also going to sign the boys up for soccer and sign Lexi up in dance. Lexi is also wanting to take piano and I have a good lead on a piano teacher for her that isn't too much money at all. We will be busy, but I think that we can handle it as long as I stick to my guns and not get caught up in facebook so stinkin much.

Kayden is going down the slide here. He loved the water that was coming up out of the slide.

Here is our group after bowling. The kids had a ton of fun.

Koy, Lexi and Tyler. Kayden was off playing somewhere with his sword that he got at the arcade.
|
Lexi helping Tyler. We had to watch Tyler or else he would throw a ball down the lane when it wasn't his turn and then the ball would get stuck. He loves bowling.

Kayden and Koy would pretend fight with the waves. Koy wasn't too active today I don't know what his deal was.
All in all we had a great summer. I am really contemplating getting another pass since they have one right now for a really good deal with many places to go all year round.
