Yesterday Kayden and Lexi had dentist appointments. They both had cavities that needed to be filled. Because I have been so worried about Kayden's eating issues and his gagging that he has done in the past I decided it woud be best to go to the dentist at Primary Childrens. We went in November for their check up and had scheduled an appointment at that time for their follow up appointments. Kayden had two really small cavities and Lexi had about 4 cavities (she takes after her mother in that sense). When we got to the office we got right in and were taken to the back. Kayden and Lexi were in the same room and both got prepped at the same time. Kayden laid on the seat and watched t.v. and the dentist came in. He looked at Kayden's teeth and said that he should be able to take care of the cavities without even giving him a shot or using the gas. When he got working on them he said that they were really small and that he didn't have to do too much to them. Kayden made it through like a champ. Of course I was planning on taking my camera and then forgot. So we don't have any pictures of his first cavity getting filled.
Lexi was a different story. Her cavity was so deep that the doc suggested that we just clean the cavity our and then put a cap on her tooth. The tooth is going to come out in about a year so that is why she suggested the cap. So Lexi definately takes after her mom and has a silver cap in her mouth.
While we were at the hospital I decided it would be a good time to get his blood drawn so I wouldn't have to make another trip up there next week. We had to give a urine sample and were told that he needed to pee a little bit in the toilet and then clean him and then pee in the cup. Well they don't know Kayden very well because once he starts peeing he can't stop and he pees FOREVER! Heck he has a teenage kidney inside his little body. But we did our best and hopefully the sample will work for them. When we sat down to get his blood drawn he held out his left arm and said this is the good arm and then held up his right arm and said this is the bad arm. At first I didn't know what he was talking about but then I realized that he was telling them that his left is the one that they only have to poke once and the blood is really easy to get and the right arm is the one that they have had to poke more than once because the blood is really hard to get. It is pretty sad when your 4 year old can tell you which arm is the good arm and which arm is bad arm for blood draws. We are waiting for the results on the BK test but everything else is looking good.
Life has just been busy as normal. I am definately in the sleep deprived category but you do what you have to in order make ends meet. Josh works all day and I babysit two little girls during the day beginning at 6:45 a.m. until 4 p.m. then I go to work at Walmart at 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. I usually get home and in bed around 2:30 a.m. so that I can up around 6:30 a.m. I do this Monday through Friday. And starting in about a week I will be starting work at 5 p.m. since I got a new position. So me and Josh don't get to see much of each other during the week but such is life I guess.
This past weekend we were able to spend some time with my sister. She was up here for a consult for her little boy at Shriners Hospital. Her little boy, Tyler (aka Ty Ty in our house) is so cute and so special. We went swimming at the new pool in Castle Dale and that kid LOVES the water. He is so cute in the water. I have never seen anything as cute as he is. He just splashes and splashes and loves going under the water. He is such a cute kid. Go visit her blog and see the pictures that she took since I forgot my stinkin camera again!

Mmm... Dentist and lots of fun it sounds like!!! I miss working, but love being at home with my 4 crazies. :) You are a busy woman, I don't know how you do it... You deserve a STAR...
I like how Kayden told them which arm is the good arm and which one is the bad one, lol.. You can tell he's had his blood drawn a lot! :) I'm glad the dentist went good! You need to remember to bring your camera dangit!! :)
That boy is so smart! I guess with all the pokes he has had, he should know which arm is better. What a piece of knowledge for a four-year-old. I hope Lexi's tooth is better. It seems like everyone is having tooth aches. I bet we can blame it on that rotten Cornish water!
