Universal Studios

Day Two we decided to go to Universal Studios. We woke up and went to breakfast. They had pancakes which Kayden was so excited. The kids went on a carousel ride and then we headed back to the villa to gather our things up and then head out.

Universal has a huge parking garage and you have to walk like a mile to get to the enterance but we finally made it.

We received a guest pass for this park too so we didn't have to wait in any lines here either. We also received a free stroller rental which we took advantage of. We got a double stroller for both boys which turned out o.k. here because it had a steering wheel so they felt like they were driving and didn't bother each other.

We headed to the Super Hero Island first and I am glad that we did. Josh and I took a turn riding the Hulk roller coaster which was really fun. We then went to see the superhero area. When we got there they were getting ready to leave but we were in time for one autograph. As we were waiting in the line a lady from Universal came up to us and told us that we could meet with the superheroes privately in about an hour. We were so excited. We walked around and saw pictures of the different superheroes and we rode the Spiderman ride. It is a simulator so it wasn't too scary like the roller coaster, but Kayden wanted nothing to do with it. Josh went on it first and then me, Lexi and Koy went on it. Koy got a little scared but he made it to the end.

After the ride we returned to wait for the superheroes to meet with us. Finally they arrived and Kayden was so excited to meet with them. We met Spiderman (who Koy would not let go of), Kayden loved Wolverine, Lexi loves Storm and then Captain America and Thor were the other two. The boys loved it and Kayden was shocked and so excited that Wolverine called him Bud.

We then walked around the rest of the park. They have a cartoon area that had a ride called Rip Saw Falls and Josh went on that one. I didn't want to get wet and have to walk around in wet clothes all day but Josh had fun and the kids loved watching the people come down the falls and get drenched. Kayden laughed at every single person that came down. We then went to the Jurassic Park ride. Lexi and Josh went first and me and the boys stayed and watched then Lexi and I went on it and it was pretty fun. After that we headed over to the Dueling Dragons ride and Josh and Lexi rode on that ride but the cool part about getting to that ride was going past all the construction that was going on in the Harry Potter portion of the theme park. They had big walls up so you couldn't see in it, but you could see the roof tops and Hogswart Castle. It was pretty neat.

We then went over to Seuss land which was a bunch of rides and things based on Dr. Seuss books. We rode on the train, which Kayden was nervous about at first but once we got on and he realized that it wasn't going to go fast and up and down he was o.k. They also had a ride called Red Fish, Blue Fish that you can control the fish going up and down and Kayden went on that. He didn't want the fish to move much but at least he rode on it. Koy and Lexi loved it and Koy couldn't leave his hands to himself on that ride.

We then walked through an area like Indiana Jones but we didn't ride on any rides.

We headed back to the villa around 5 p.m. and by then the kids were tired and had enough. We went back and had dinner, went swimming, and ate ice cream and then went to bed.
