I went to visit Josh yesterday after talking with the local sheriff, who by the way likes me and he has for a long time, about some of the issues that Josh has been having while up at the detention center. He hasn't had any problems with other inmates, just with being able to get certain items like sock, shampoo, lip balm and some of his medications. One of the things that I mentioned to the sheriff was about when he was able to be released and mentioned that we were hoping he could be approved for good time which is that for every month that you are there if you are good you can knock off 5 days of the time that you are incarcerated. So Josh would be able to knock off 10 days since they do not include the last month that you are there. Well, he handed in his paper work for that yesterday and received information back with his expected release date. As of right now his release date will be........ January 26th with his good time approved. If he doesn't have any problems between now and then, which I doubt that he will have. So you read it right that leaves only a few more weeks and then he will be home for good. Also, I talked to his employer today and they still want him and need him to come back to work. I told them that I was afraid that they would have to hire a new person since Josh isn't there and that then he would be out of luck for a job and they told me that would not happen and that they want and need Josh back when he comes home. So finally something that we can look forward to!
On a few update notes: Koy is teething and getting one of his side teeth in and he is pretty miserable. I have been up about every hour with him crying the last few nights with one night him being up between 12 and 3 in the morning, yuck. Also, one night I made sure that he had taken all of his meds, had food, had his binkie, had his blankets and he still was crying and I just let him cry. Well, I walked in after he had been crying for a little while, around 15 to 20 minutes and he had gotten himself so worked up that he threw up all over in his bed. I promptly changed his clothes, changed his blankets and then laid him back down so that he could go to sleep. I didn't have any problems after that. I didn't want him to think that he could throw a fit, throw up in his bed and then I would come and get him out when he needed to stay in bed because it was bedtime. We had a bishop once who told us a similar story about his son doing the same thing.
Kayden is over his illness and is doing great. We are still having problems with him not eating and he is looking really skinny so I have increased the amount of food that he gets pumped into him during the night. One thing that I really want to push the next few months with him going to the preschool is making sure that they get the OT in there like they are suppose to. They bill medicaid, or medicare since that is his primary insurance now, so there shouldn't be any problems with them having the therapists come into to help him. It is pretty sad that my three year old little boy can go all day without eating a dang thing. I make sure I offer him food he just doesn't ever want to eat it.
Lexi is over her pneumonia and ear infection. She is glad to be back in school, and I am glad that she is back in school. It was nice that we had the time off so that she could get better without missing school but it sure is nice to be back into school.
I also wanted to update on my resolutions. I have gotten up early the past 3 mornings so I have been doing really well. Even with a teething 1 year old. I have read my scriptures every night and this next Monday I am planning on holding Family Home Evening. Tomorrow I am going to work on Lexi's blanket and enjoy the relaxing day of doing absolutely nothing!
