Way behind

Due to working at night and being very tired during the day I have kind of slacked off the last few days, but I am back and ready to go.

First off I will just say that my daughter is just like my sister Nancy was growing up. Sorry Nancy, but I have to tell this story in order to give people the image of what I am trying to portray. One time my parents were so sick of Nancy's room being messy that my dad went in there and picked up all of her "stuff" and put it in garbage bags. I think it filled 3 big garbage bags full of "stuff". In order for Nancy to get it back she had to clean her room and pay money to get her stuff back. I remember as we were growing up my parents would always put things in piles and then we would clean the pile and put things away and then the room would be clean again. To this day I do that with my stuff. I put it in a pile and then clean up the pile.

So today I could not find any of my scissors. I was so frustrated because I didn't know where any of them were and Lexi said that she didn't know where any of them were either. So decided to go and look in her room because Lexi is not the best looker. I went in there to find her craft box and opened her closet door and about died. As she has cleaned her room she has stuffed everything into her closet. So what did I do.....I pulled everything out of her closet and made a pile in the middle of her room for her to clean up when she gets home from school. She is going to be so mad but she also doesn't have any clothes to wear right now because they are all in that pile!

So now to today's question......Tell about your child's first pet?

We were priveldged to have found a great dog for Lexi when we moved into our house in Saratoga Springs. She was a Rottweiler/lab mix and she loved Lexi and Lexi loved her. She grew to be a very big dog! Her name was Sally and we loved her so much. Unfortunately Sally got really sick about a month ago and we had to put her to sleep. I have a ton of pictures that I want to post, but I need to go and get some things done. (I told Kayden I would make some sugar cookies with yummy cream cheese frosting) So I am off to do that, but I will get some pictures up soon. If you want to see a picture of Sally and Lexi go check out Lexi's blog here.

when i was down at moms last, i was walking from my car to the house and i ALMOST yelling "SALLY!" but i caught myself! I miss seeing Sally laying there on the front porch taking up the whole thing! She was such a caring dog! She would let the kids do ANYTHING to do AND pretty much let Thor do anything. She was so protective of them.

And with Nancy, not only was Nancy's room a mess, but I remember dad always telling her "Nancy, do you think we own Utah Power and Light" or "i'm going to have a get a back hoe to clean your room" of course, we all know I was the perfect one! :)

Love her room only because I can relate!!! I do the same thing and Addie flips when she gets home and has a pile on her bed to clean up! At least we can realte and I am sure there are a hundred other kids rooms out there that are much worse. I like to tell myself that because I can be a room nazi

I am laughing so hard! What, a pile of junk? Imagine. How horrible! I wish Dad would come and clean up my room that way. I can't find anything in it, either. I have some piles, though! And you had better not touch my piles until I go through them. That's my girl, Lexi! I think I need Chantel to come to my house and get me in shape. Maybe she could stop in to Lexi's room on the way. No, maybe not. We don't want Chantel to see our house this way. It would drive her crazy! Just kidding Chantel. You know it would, don't you? And we love you all, clean-it up kids, never-out-of-place kids, pile-kids. It takes all kinds to make a family. That is why I love all of you so much. It each his own!

OK, no more bashing on Nancy. I seem to remember that almost everyone had their moments. No one is perfect like me yet! (Ha, Ha)Love ya, Nanc
