When Lexi was there really wasn't a big difference between seasons. She wasn't in school so we didn't really distinguish a "summer vacation". Yeah, the weather got nicer and hotter and we did more things outside, but our daily things were the same everyday.
Now that she is older and in school we now distinguish "summer vacation". I have to try to keep the kids entertained so that I don't hear "Mom, can I play" or "Mom can I do this" or "Mom, I'm bored." I am a little slow in that I don't have a list of chores for her to do and I want to start reading to her and the boys, but I haven't quite figured out what I am doing yet. I know I need to get on the ball.
I am going to get some chores typed up for her and a list of "To Do's" for me, her and Kayden. I feel that Kayden is getting to the age where he can help a little more around the house. Koy does enough damage that there is no way he is going to help in any way as long as he is awake!
We have kind of been hanging out the past few days since school was officially out last Friday and summer officially began on Tuesday. The days I am home we have walked to the post office and done things around the house. I am making it a habit to make sure that we actually have a lunch prepared instead of finding something for each kid whenever we feel like it.
As soon as we get our stimulus tax stuff in the mail we will be putting down a deposit on an apartment and we will be preparing to move to Sandy. I have been putting my application in for many job opportunities but have not heard anything from any of them. That is a little disappointing but I am sure that things will work out for us. I am truly having my faith tested in many aspects.
Kayden has transplant clinic in a few weeks so we will be traveling to Salt Lake for that and Josh also has to take a placement test at SLCC. As for now that is about it. Life is pretty boring but I will hopefully be making more posts during this next week than have this past week.
