Really Funny

A few weeks ago there was some back up tapes from the University of Utah Hospital. These tapes contained information such as medical billing codes, drivers license numbers, Social Security numbers, and other important information of patients of the University of Utah. These tapes were stolen and people were really worried that the information that was contained on these tapes would be stolen and used.

The University of Utah sent out letters informing patients that their information could possibly have been stolen. I did receive three of those letter one for me, because I had to go to the ER one night with a really bad bladder infection while Kayden was laying in a bed at PCMC, I received one for Koy because he has kidney issues, and one for Kayden which I don't understand because he has NEVER been seen at the U of U (this is being said very sarcastic!! since he has gone to the U about ever other month from the time he was born!). The U has offered to have free credit monitoring of patients and they honestly feel so bad that this happened.

Yesterday it was announced that those tapes had been found. The Sheriff stated that he did not think that the people who stole the tapes got any information off of the tapes. Here is an article regarding this. I just want to point out this great quote from the Sheriff regarding these guys that were arrested. He said "They're not techies," Winder said. "I don't know if they could find their rear end with both hands." I think this is hilarious! What a great quote from the Sheriff.
