I decided to take the kids to Temple Square last night for our family night. Josh had to work so it was just me and the kids. I took my camera to try and get some cool shots and even took my tripod because I knew it would be dark and wanted to have some good non-shaky pictures.
We got downtown and I went to get the tripod out and I could not find the adapter. I figured I had left it in my camera bag at home. When I got home to find the adapter I finally found it in the tripod bag that was in the car and with us the whole time. I was so bummed. So some of the pictures didn't turn out very good.
We had a fun time walking around and we got to walk right up to the temple doors and the kids thought it was great. When we got on the west side of the temple (the side closest to the tabernacle) the boys found a place on the steps that worked great for a slide. Only my boys could find something to slide down on the temple grounds. The kids had fun playing and walking around and I could not get them to stay away from the water.
Forgive my shaky pictures. I had my camera in night mode and not auto
After we walked around the grounds we went to Baskin Robbins and got us some yummy ice cream. Lexi got some sherbet flavor, Kayden amazingly got a mango sherbet, Koy got plain old vanilla, and i got the best flavor of all.....pumpkin pie it was to DIE for.
One funny thing... as we were passing temple square and we saw the grounds and the temple, Kayden asked if they had cookies there. The previous two times he has gone to see any temple has been for the open house of the Draper Temple and the Oquirh Mtn Temple and both times they had cookies there. So now he thinks that cookies are at every Temple.I thought this picture was cool. It is the temple in the reflection pond.

Love that reflection picture! I laugh about Kayden and cookies at the temple. He really did like them at the open house we went to. It sounds like a fun night. So glad the kids enjoyed going.
