I am making this post separate because I don't feel like it needs to be included in my rant and rave post that I just made.
I have thought about this all week long. When I heard about President Hinckley passing away I was happy for him. He has lived a long wonderful, enjoyable, full life. What more could he have done? He has done so much and accomplished so much that there really wasn't anymore that he could do. He was a great leader and could make you feel like you could do anything. But I really felt like it was his time to go. He met up with his great and marvelous wife and I am sure their reunion was wonderful. I bet he hasn't left her side for a moment. But can you imagine all the other people that he was meeting up there. I am sure that he has met with each person individually and has gotten to know each person very well. I don't know who was happier to meet him, them or him! Maybe they were all in awe to finally meet him!
I love President Hinckley very much and know that he was a prophet of God. I know that he received inspiration and revelation for our time and especially received inspiration and revelation regarding women both young and old and for all seasons of our lives. I will truly miss hearing him speak in conference and hearing his sense of humor that was a part of who he was. I do know that the next president of the church will be chosen by God and will receive inspiration relating to our time and that he will be loved just as much as President Hinckley.
I also love how the church, which is led by Jesus Christ, takes things in stride. There is no confusion, no concern, no wondering just peace and comfort in knowing that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father are in charge. They will be the ones who chooses the next person who will oversee this wonderful church here on the earth and act in their name here on earth. What a wonderful thing this is.
