It has been about a week since I last updated, but we have been busy. Josh got home last Sunday and we have LOVED having him at home. It is nice to be a family again. He has been busy with work for a few days, but he enjoys keeping busy. The kids have just mauled him to death because they are so happy to have him home not to mention the dogs enjoy having him around also.
I am going to kind of sway a little with this blog to some personal items of note. I am not going to express any opinions about any family members since I really don't think that is appropriate and I really don't want to be a mean hurtful person. What I am going to talk about is me. What my opinion is and you can take it or leave it if you want, but I want to write about what I stand for and my view is on important issues for this day in age.
POLITICS
I love politics. Right now I don't have the money to ever run for a public office and I don't think I ever would, but I do think that I should be able to express my feelings on issues. So this upcoming Tuesday is SUPER TUESDAY. That means that every registered voter needs to VOTE. I am really wanting Mitt Romney to win. In my gut I don't think he will, but I do think that he will at least give Senator McCain a fight. I am going to do my part in voting for him on Super Tuesday to help give him a little boost in the matter. My biggest reason for liking Mitt is because I feel like he is the ONLY candidate that really wants to make some change in Washington and I feel like he is the ONLY candidate qualified to help this country with the economy in such HORRIBLE shape. I do not thing that either of the Democrat candidates right now can do that and I really do not think that McCain can do that. I think that McCain is solely running on the fact that he is a former War Veteran, that he was in the military and his issues on Iraq. I also think that he has no clue about the economy and that to put him in the Presidents seat would only be bad for the United States. I also look at who would be the best person to go up against Hilary and Obama and I don't think that McCain is the right person. So if you haven't guessed by now, I am a Mitt Romney supporter! I do think that the way that Utah has their primaries is stupid. In order to vote on the Republican ticket you have to be a Registered Republican in Utah. If you are affiliated with the Democrats you may not vote on the Republican ticket. If you are unaffiliated then you must claim an affiliation with the Republican party when you vote in order to get the ticket. I think that is so stupid. There are people out there who are affiliated with the Democratic party but they would like to vote for Romney but the way the system is set up they are not able to unless they change their affiliation prior to the primary vote. I just think that it is dumb and that they are running off a lot of people who would vote but don't want to claim any affiliation to one party.
I think that we need to do something about the Health Care system in this country. I can see both the government side and the insurance side of the issues. I want to say this about McCain, he has NO CLUE what it is like to have anything but Government Insurance. He is a war veteran and has been in the Senate and doesn't know anything about the coverage in the private sector. Romney does. He has dealt with this issue in the companies that he has owned. Now, McCain said the other night in the debate that people lost their jobs because of the fact that Romney sold the company or other factors dealing with business, but I say this about McCain by him not supporting tax cuts or helping to make them permanent, (however now he is saying he will support the tax cuts is he changing his mind!!!) people will have less money and jobs will only get harder to find. Anyways, back to health care. I think it is crazy that people who have a lot of money have the same health insurance as low income people and they don't have to pay anything. I think that Medicare should be available to Senior Citizens, but that it needs to be on a income based or asset base. Those who have more money or assets should help pay for coverage. For instance those like John Huntsman Senior should pay a premium for his coverage since he has more assets and more money than someone like my in-laws but yet as things are right now they have the exact same coverage.
My next grip this: Why is it that the economy sucks so bad, people can't find jobs, homes are not selling, the Christmas season sales did not meet expectations for all companies but yet Exxon Mobile can report record profits especially the last three months of the year last year. So why can the Oil company report profits and everyone else can be struggling? Because the government doesn't thing that the oil companies are doing anything wrong and I call bull crap on that. I think that they are part of the reason this economy is suffering so much. It costs way too much for gas and people are barely able to get the necessities (which include gas) so they don't spend money on other things.
Sunday is the Superbowl and I am excited because I get to watch it with my husband.
I have a comment on Britney Spears.... WHACKO. She is one girl that is just out of control and should be admitted to the hospital before she causes more harm to her family and to herself. I think that I can say thins due to the fact that I have been there done that and have lived with it and I know that my husband would say the same thing. She needs to get major help and everyone just needs to leave the girl alone and let her get better.

Thank you for the cute note!
Robert is definitely one of a kind... But I love it!
I too am voting for Mr. Romney.
I'm like you, gotta feeling he might not make it to the end but at least he's giving McCain a run for his money!
Seriously, I'll take it! I am with you, on all of the above!
