This wasn't what I wanted to do for my 100th post. In fact I didn't really know what to do. I wanted it to be something that was interesting and something that was inspirational. Well, I don't think that I am either of those. I am not really interesting and all I have done today is work, and I am not that inspirational. But I do know some people and families that I have met through this great world of blogging that are very inspirational.
One of these great families is the Christensen family. I have mentioned them before on my blog and I want to tell everyone again about this great family. Their little boy, Charlie Cooper, was taken to PCMC after being diagnosed with Meningitis. This strong little boy was in the PICU at PCMC for many weeks. He was a very sick little boy. But this little boy fought so hard against this mean bug and he is now getting ready to go home. This family's world has been turned upside down. This once happy, wonderful little 10 month old boy who was smiling, clapping, and learning to crawl is now faced with many trials. You see, this little boy is now deaf, blind and suffers from major brain damage as a result of this horrible meningitis bug that he was fighting. But with their faith in our Heavenly Father they have endured through this trial. This family has touched so many lives and has fought to be able to face each day with a smile on their face. Please go and visit their blog and see how strong they are. This wonderful family is going to be featured on KSL channel 5 tonight at 10 p.m.
Charlie's story got me thinking about other things.
Our children make us do things that we normally would not even think of doing. I never dreamed that I would have a child that required g-tube feedings and a PICC line. I remember thinking when Kayden received his NG tube that I hope that thing never came out because I did not want to have to put it back in. I have come a long way since then. We as parents are sometimes thrown into situations that we never would have volunteered to be in, but we do it because of the love we have for our children.
In my patriarchal blessing I am told to share my testimony/experiences with others, not for myself, but for others who can learn from it. There have been many times when I have been touched deeply because of something that I read from someone else's blog. I love reading Leslie's blog and how she is dealing with the grief of losing her husband. I love reading Jill's day to day comings and goings, and I love checking on Charlie Cooper every day. I have met many new friends that have made wonderful comments on my blog: Wendy, Laurie, Sarah and Sarah just to name a few. I hope to make many more friends in the future as I share my thoughts, experiences, joys, sorrows, ups and downs and daily comings and goings. So here's to many more posts and I hope that my readers enjoy.

I saw Charlie's story on the news and went and found his blog. What a wonderful family. I even saw your link on there. I couldn't believe I never found their blog before on my visits here. I guess I need to "click around" more.
