Today was our day to spend most of the morning at the hospital. Kayden had his transplant clinic and he is doing awesome. He has gained probably about 4 or 5 pounds and is now 38.8 pounds and he has a little belly, a little fat on his bum and he even has some fat on his legs. It really is a miracle.
There are a few things that need to be taken care of. I have been worried about him because there has been blood in his stool a few times. So we are having to take 3 different stool samples to see what is going on. He isn't really sick so the doc is not thinking that it is C-Diff but they want to rule that our. We may have to go back to GI and see if he may have a paulup that may be getting irritated, but we will cross that bridge when we get there our first thing is to get the samples.
I also had to make sure that we got an antibiotic for him when he gets his teeth fixed in January and I needed to make sure that he was o.k. for some of his immunizations. We did get his blood drawn and they had to do it twice because they forgot to get one of the tests that was ordered with the first blood draw. He handled the two blood draws very well once he knew he could get two prizes.
Overall he is doing great and we only have to go see the doc every other month with monthly blood draws.
The one good thing about going to clinic so close to Christmas is that we get lots of cool things. In fact we got to see Santa Claus today at clinic and he gave the kids each a present. We have the best group of doctors in the world and we could not have asked for a better group of people to take care of my kid.

I am so glad to hear that he is doing so well. I always worry about my little grandchildren. Even the "healthy" ones. Wow, Santa at clinic. Did Kayden react alright with him? Maybe he just needs the "real" Santa.
Yay for Kayden!! All those chocolate cookies grandpa gave him the weekend of thanksgiving must have paid off! :) He should be ok with blood draws since he has had to have them so much! :)
