Christmas Tag

My sister Nancy tagged me for this so here it goes.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? I like wrapping paper. I love to see my kids rip it off and see the excitement in their eyes. I don't think they get that excited when they open a bag.

2. Real tree or Artificial? Growing up we had a real tree and I enjoyed them, until they got so dry that they became fire hazards then we switched to artificial and I liked that because then I didn't have to wait to go and find a tree in order to put it up. Since I have been married I have only had artificial trees and I light an evergreen candle to get the evergreen smell in the home. I like the artificial ones that are pre-lit because I hate putting lights on the tree because I am too picky about them.

3. When do you put up the tree? Usually it is the day after Thanksgiving. This year I put it up the week before Thanksgiving. I have enjoyed having it up.

4. When do you take the tree down? Usually New Years Day but I may keep it up longer this year I don't know.

5. Do you like eggnog? H*** NO! It is so disgusting and the worst thing on the face of this earth. (Sorry Dad)

6. Favorite gift received as a child? I don't really remember having a favorite gift.

7. Hardest person to buy for? I have a hard time buying for everybody because I don't know if what I get will be o.k. for that person.

8. Easiest person to buy for? I think my kids are easy it is just hard to limit myself on what to get them because I think they would like everything.

9. Do you have a nativity scene? Not yet but I am thinking of getting a small one here soon. Right now I don't have a place to display one and even if I did have one we have one small problem: KOY.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail, I am hoping to get a picture done soon so that we get one togather really quickly. Thank heavens I work at Walmart!

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I received a toy speller one year that sucked. It was at a family christmas party and it was suppose to go to another person but instead I got it and it sucked.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? There is only one movie in my eyes for Christmas "The Night They Saved Christmas"

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I am always late on this. I started thinking about it in October and didn't do anything about it until about the week before Thanksgiving. But I am now done.

14. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? My mom's cheeseball, Oreo cookies, Sugar Cookies, turkey, ham, pretty much anything except raisin filled cookies, yuck.

15. Lights on the tree? White, We use to have red and green and I liked those.

16. Favorite Christmas song? Bishop Sharp singing "He Was Mine" from the Forgotten Carols. I also like "Mary Did You Know" sung by Donnie Osmond or Kenny Rogers and "Do You Hear What I Hear" sung by Vanessa Williams. I love Christmas songs and it is hard to pick just a favorite. I love Jim Brickman, Kenny G, Alabama, Celine Dion, Faith Hill.

17. Travel at Christmas or stay home? There is nothing better than to stay at home on Christmas Day. I love my memories of waking up on Christmas morning in my own bed and at my own house and I want my kids to have those same memories of being at home and waking up in their bed and going to see their gifts and lounging around in jammies all day.

18. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's? Yep

19. Angel on the tree top or a star? I have a holiday pick of pinecones, ribbons, acorns and other outdoorsy things that just sticks into the tree. I haven't found anything else that I like right now.

20. Open presents on Christmas Eve or morning? Both. Open Grandma and Grandpa's which is always pajamas so then you have new jammies to wear and open mom and dad's gifts.

21. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? Crowds with rude people!

22. Favorite Ornament theme or color? I have a red and green theme on my tree and I have had it for years. I wanted a new theme this year, but did not want to get new ornaments and have Koy ruin them. I love the silver and a dark maroon color that Walmart has. I can't wait until we can get a changed.

23. What do you want for Christmas this year? My kids to be happy. I don't really want anything for me.
