I love this time of year. When you can feel it cooling down outside, leaves start changing colors and of course FOOTBALL!!!! I love to sit and watch football on a Saturday afternoon. There is nothing better than getting up early and getting everything done so that you can watch college football in the afternoon. I love it. Right now I am anticipating the start of the BYU football game. Of course we don't get all of the BYU games because Directv doesn't carry The Mountain channel, so when we can watch it we take advantage of it.
I also love the cool crisp air. It is really refreshing. After having such a hot summer it is nice to be able to go outside and actually stand to be out there for more than 10 minutes.
Another thing I love to do this time of year is to burn those lovely smells that you associate with fall. I love the pumpkin spice candle for Salt City Candles, my favorite. I also like their Sunflower scent.
For some reason I start to crave Apple Crisp this time of year. I don't know if it is the apples because they are in season or if it is the smell that fills your whole house when you cook it.
And of course we can't forget the awesome colors that come this time of year. The yellows, reds, oranges and browns that just are so vibrant and rich wonderful. I am hoping to be able to take the kids out and get some good outdoor pictures. I think this is the best time of year to take pictures. The leaves on the ground, the leaves in the trees are changing, the pumpkins and the corn stalks all make for great back drops during the fall season. I just love it! I also think it is great that I have two boys that have birthdays in October. What a fun time to have birthday parties since there are so many different themes that you can center a party around. This year, if things go as planned, we will be celebrating the boys birthdays a little late so that Josh will be able to be there.
Again, I can't say it enough, I love this time of year and now I am off to go watch some FOOTBALL!

HEY! NICKY has a birthday in October also, so let's just have a big party!! :)
Can't forget the smell of chilli sauce that mom makes on the day of one of those football games. We can't wait for the cooling down either. We are getting a break with 95 degree weather!!!
