The Countdown Begins

Josh will be home in less than one week. He is going to be transferred back here to the county in Friday. We will be able to visit him on Sunday for the first time in over 2 months. We are VERY EXCITED!

Today is Halloween and of course we will be going Trick or Treating. Lexi is going to be a Witch, Kayden is Buzz Lightyear and Koy will be a puppy. We didn't have a football costume for Kayden or else I am sure that is what he would have been. I am sure that any helmet that he puts on right now would just topple him over from being so heavy. We went to a little halloween party on Saturday night and there was a kid there with a football uniform on and Kayden followed him around the whole entire night. I am sure that the kid thought that Kayden was crazy.

Lexi's school is having a costume parade this afternoon and then we will go Trick or Treating. There is also a carnival at the school that we are going to go to.

Last year on Halloween was when Kayden first started to walk all by himself. He had just turned two and I was really wanting him to get walking so that I didn't have to keep carrying two babies. Well, Halloween was the day and from that time on he has not stopped. Two weeks later was when that wonderful call came for him to get his transplant.

Because November is the month of Thanksgiving and also the month that Kayden received his transplant, I will be posting things that I am grateful for and also giving you a glimpse into what things were like for us at this time last year. How exciting don't you think. I want to start by saying that we could not have been given a better gift than the gift of a kidney at the most wonderful time of year. I think that we were meant to get this gift when we did so that every year we can look back and remember and see how blessed we are.

I am also going to be getting some fun Halloween pictures up later on. Stay tuned.........
