Upcoming Adventures

This last week I had to take Koy to the doctor again because I didn't think his ear infection had cleared up. I also don't have much faith in Zithromax so that is another reason why we went over there. So we headed over to see the PA Reiner Bradley. For those of you Emery County-ites you will know who I am talking about, the big tall guy that use to take your blood in the lab! Well, he looked in Koy's ear and it was red and we had already taken our course of antibiotics and were out a few days from ending it. So he prescribed us some Augmentin and we were on our way. He warned us that it can cause diahrea and stomach problems. Well, today Koy has had a poopy diaper about every 15 minutes and his butt is very red from needing it wiped so much. Poor kid!

Next week is going to be exciting for us. Koy turns the big "1" and Kayden turns the big "3". Koys birthday is first on the 10th and Kayden's is on the 13th. Kayden also gets to have his final evaluation for pre-school. So far he qualifies for 4 days of pre-school and he gets to ride the bus everyday. The bus will pick him up at our house and drop him off after school. This is really exciting for him and Lexi is really upset because she also wants to ride the bus. We will have to see what we can manage with that. After Kayden's birthday on Saturday, he will no longer qualify for Early Intervention which is why he can go to pre-school now through the school district. With him being developmentally delayed he gets to have additional help with the pre-school.

We have one last test that we have to be doing on Kayden and it will be on the 15th of October. One year ago Kayden had a surgery called a Nissen Fundoplication. They take the top of the stomach and wrap it around the bottom part of the esophogus. This is done to help kids with reflux and in Kayden's case it is also how they repair hiatal hernias. Once this procedure is done the child should not be able to throw anything up. Well, the other day I was feeding him and he started gagging and throwing up his milk, just like he did prior to the surgery when he would get too full and it would irritate his sliding hernia. I called the surgeon and they have scheduled him to have an Upper GI with esophogram to be done so that they can check and see if his Nissen is still in tact or if it has torn and they have to go in and repair it. So like I said one test down and one more still to go! Let's hope that everything is fine with his Nissen because the last thing we need is to go through that again.

This weekend is conference and I am looking forward to listening to it, if my children allow me to! I am actually happy that the weather is going to be bad so that I can stay in the house and clean and listen to conference. I am excited to see if and who the person is that will be called as a member of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve.

Good night for now.
