Wowzers...No Wonder Nothing Gets Done.

O.K. I have slacked off lately, but I promise I will get some new things up today. We just got done a Kayden's pre-school Christmas program so be watching for those pictures.

Things are going o.k. around here. We are just getting things ready for Christmas and hopefully we will be hearing today or tomorrow on if Josh will be able to be home for Christmas. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Lexi was invited to attend Spencer's Wishes this upcoming Saturday. It is a big christmas party for kids who have had struggles in their lives and that would definately include Lexi. The party starts at 11 a.m. and she will get to see the Jazz Bear and get her picture taken with him, go to Walmart and go on a mini shopping spree and whatever she wants up to a certain amount of money and her chaperone will keep track of that for her and then we pick her up around 2:30. She is really looking forward to that. School is out 1/2 day tomorrow and she may be going to a BYU basketball game that is if she is feeling o.k.

Kayden just had transplant clinic on Monday and he is doing great! He does have a case of Eczema on his hand s and it is really bad. Poor kid scratches his hands all night because they hurt so much so we are lathering on the lotion on everyone to keep us hydrated. Dang desert air! He had a little bit of a cough, but that seems to have gone away so we just hope that nothing else is brewing (i.e. pnuemonia!) since that is what happened last month. I received our copy of Cougar Diaries in the mail so I am going to try and figure out how to put the part of Kayden on YouTube so that everyone can enjoy. (Nancy if you know how to do that or if Dallas knows how to then call me!) We are having some minor issues with Kayden's anti-rejection meds. It seems that our local pharmacy can no longer fill them because Medicaid will not pay for them anymore since Kayden has Medicare. The meds have to be billed through Medicare's medical portion and they do not do that billing. So the only place that does that billing is Walmart in Price so now we have to travel 45 freakin' minutes to pick up two stupid prescriptions that have to be filled at a certain of the month due to the effectiveness of the meds. It really sucks! I go over there to pick up the meds last night because they need to be refilled and guess what, they don't have it is stock and have to order it and it won't be there until today. I am hoping that we can wait until I take Lexi over there of Saturday so that we won't be going to Price every night for the next 4 days.

Now to my little Koy. Poor thing is running a fever of about 102. We were able to get into the doctor last night after our Walmart medication issue, and his poor little throat looks HORRIBLE. The doctor said that it is really bad. His strep culture came back negative so we had some blood drawn to determine if it is viral and if we need to be on medications or not. One thing that we were told at Transplant Clinic was to not get sick over the weekend because all of our favorite, most knowledgable people will be on vacation (i.e. Cindy and Cecil) and the doctor on call is a new doctor that we have never seen before. I told our pediatrician last night that he will probably be hearing from us if Kayden gets whatever Koy has which he is probably going to since he took Koy's binky out of his mouth yesterday and was sucking on it. Why is it that he never took a binky as a baby but now he thinks it is cool every once in a while! If he had kept up with it as a baby we wouldn't have any of the feeding issues that we have today. So Koy isn't eating much because of his throat and walk around the house moaning and then when I sit down to hold him he won't sit there and cuddle or anything. He just wants to walk around miserable.

I have to go now and try to do something about my sick kids, the messy house, a few piles of laundry, Christmas presents that need to be wrapped, lunch and dinner to be cooked and prepared, cookies to be baked....... I will just start at the top and go from there.

Check back later for pics and videos.

WOW, you sure have a lot going on right now! It's no fun to have sick kids and worse when they pass it around to each other. I'm glad the card got to you. I wasn't sure if it was the correct address. I know I'm miles and miles away but if there is anything I can do for you let me know.

I can help wrap when I get down there on Saturday. If you need anything, I will be leaving SLC around 9. Sorry, not leaving sooner because it is snowing really bad here right now. I actually got stuck in my driveway tonight :). I will help take care of the kids this weekend too! Can't wait to see you guys for christmas!!! As Kayden would say "BERRY CHRISTMAS!"

Praying for Josh to be able to come home for Chrstmas.

Prayers for the boys to start feeling better too. It's miserable to be sick around this time of the year, and it's even worse when you know you have to keep an eye on the immunosupressed child so closely. Trust me, I know, we have all been sick, passin it back and forth between all of us since Thanksgiving!

Hope you all have a happy and healthy Christmas!
