I have mentioned that I am having a little bit of a problem potty training by 3 year old. I don't know what to do. He will go pee in the potty but not #2. When I ask him if he will go #2 in the potty he yells "NNNOOO" at me and points his finger in my face and turns and walks away. It is actually pretty funny but I can't let him see that I am laughing at him when he does that.
I had to go and do some catch up at work because of the hours I missed last week and will be missing this next week and I got a call from my hubby asking me to guess what Kayden did. I answered and said that he pooped. I was correct and then was told to guess where and I was afraid that it was in my dad's new recliner chair because when I left that is where he was sleeping. I responded with "in the recliner". I was shocked when I heard the answer "Nope, it was in the potty and he did it all by himself and he even tried to clean up after it." I was shocked! I am so happy and excited. My husband called back later and said that he did it again.
Just to go over the reasons again why I did not think this was ever going to happen: 1) he refused all the time and didn't even like it when I talked about it. 2) One of the side effects of his anti-rejection meds is diahrea (I don't want to get too graphic, but there is a difference between this and when you are sick always running to the bathroom diahrea, this is more just loose stool diahrea) and I had no idea how I was going to train him about when to go to the bathroom when he has diahrea. 3) The kid doesn't eat any kind of treats, so to bribe him with candy and treats won't work because he doesn't eat that stuff so it really isn't that big of a deal to him. 4) If I bribed him with big stuff and bought it he would throw a fit about wanting it and will bug me forever until he I gave into him so that he would stop whinning and crying.
But it looks like he just wasn't ready until now and he has gone to the potty all night! HOORAY.
