Now you are probably wondering what in the world I am talking about. Kayden is almost 4 years old. He received his feeding tube when he was 3 months old. We have used the same provider for our feeding tube for the past four years. Josh received insurance through his work and the insurance does not use IHC as their network (however because Primary Childrens is the only childrens hospital in the area they accept all insurances and are in all networks so we will not be affected in that area). So after almost 4 years, I have to break off my relationship with my pharmacy that has provided Kayden with his feeding pump, feeding supplies and his formula and I have to start a new one.
I am so sad and it is so silly that I am this upset over having to find a new provider. I really feel like crying and throwing a big fit because I don't want to change.....however change is good and you never know I may end up liking the new provider just as much, maybe even more (unlikely but you never know).
So farewell IHC and hello Blue Cross Blue Shield.

In a way that is exciting! Maybe they will cover something the other didnt. It looked like kidney kamp was alot of fun! How has Kayden been doing anyway?
I totally feel for ya! I know exactly what you mean by "relationship"! It is true! THose pharmacists and providers become like good friends and it is hard to let them go...especially if they were so good to you! That is hard to find! Good luck with your new provider...
Hey i have BCBS too.. i had to break off my 25 yr (almost 26 yr) relationship with whatever insurance mom and dad had.. so at least yours wasn't as long and you weren't AS attached. mine felt like a whole lifetime. i am deeply heartbroken and i might need therapy for it (but i actually have to pay for it!)
Changing Health Care providers is junk. It is just a whole new set of rules, to get use too. But you get use to them and it is a breeze :)
The other day the UPS lady stopped at school and as usual I was the only one there, so she knows to come to my classroom. Since the door was open she just walked in and dropped off her delivery. She made the comment, "So, Joshua Kayden isn't at your home any more?" She said she hadn't delivered any boxes there for him and she was missing that stop. So, even UPS is noticing a change.
Aww...that's no fun! I think you deserve a good pout :)
