Pampers VS Huggies

I have a ton of things that I need to write about, but I also have a ton of things that I need to get done. I figure that I will get this one done and then work on the others at a later time.

I have two boys that are still in diapers. I am trying to get my 3 year old potty trained but am not having much success. He wants to some times and then other times he doesn't want to. I don't know what I am going to do about him. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

But onto my topic. I usually buy diapers in the big boxes from Walmart because they are the cheapest place to get them. Well I am not able to get even close to a Walmart until this weekend so I went to the local grocery store to get some diapers and decided to get some Pampers since they were on sale. Now the reason that I usually stay with Huggies is because they hold a lot of fluid. I don't have to change a diaper during the night when I use Huggies and the Supreme Huggies are even better.

Kayden gets a total of 948 cc of fluid during the night. That is roughly 30 ounces of fluid. Between his food and water that is how much he needs to have in order for him to stay hydrated. That amount can go up if needed, but this is pretty normal and something that is really important that he gets on a continual basis. He also gets fluid during the day through water, Strawberry milk, popsicles or gatorade. So I really rely on a good diaper during the night because of all the fluid that he gets.

I put Kayden in a new diaper at bed time which is about 9 p.m. and he started fussing about 11:30 p.m. I went in and checked on him and he seemed fine, I moved him around and guess what....his bed was DRENCHED because the diaper was FULL! I was so irritated. Then around 12 Koy starts crying and his diaper was full also and I had put him in a new diaper at 8:30 p.m. for bed. Koy had a sippy at bedtime and that was it. I could not believe that he needed a diaper change also.

So the conclusion that I came to lastnight is that I will NEVER put my kids in Pampers during the night anymore! It is ridiculous that I had to change Kayden's diaper twice during the night and change Koy's. I will definately pay the higher cost for Huggies Supreme diapers if it means that my kids will sleep all night and not pee the bed.

I know it doesn't help that Kayden has a small kidney problem, but still every 3 hours needing to change a diaper is ridiculous!

Only Huggies (and then when they get to size 4) Huggies overnighters for us. I refuse to use the other stuff for this exact reason!

Oh my gosh!!! We have NEVER had to change the boys during the night! In fear of waking them up!!!! That has got to suck!!! I'm sorry!

I COMPLETELY agree with you on the pampers thing- they are ridiculous. I like them on my babies when they are newborn and you are changing there diapers every few hours anyway, but after that first month I switch to Huggies. I actually love the Wal-Mart "white cloud" diapers the best. They have worked on both my boys the best and they are the cheapest so yeah for them!!
